50th Birthday Broadcast prévu le 20 janvier 2020 au Royaume-Uni et le 13 décembre 2019 en France (1 CD ; Zip City ZCCD101)
Enfin quelque chose d'intéressant avec le retour de Zip City qui nous offre le magnifique et grandiose ChangesNowBowie diffusé par la BBC le 8 janvier 1997 la veille de son show des 50 ans au Madison Square Garden 
Mise à jour : si vous ne voulez pas attendre la version officielle je vous conseille très fortement ce CD qui contient la diffusion complète par la BBC avec les titres et les interviews sans coupures entre les titres, avec une très bonne qualité et dans un beau boitier cristal. Son seul défaut est d'indiquer "Hang Down Your Head" au lieu de "The Man Who Sold The World" sur la pochette arrière. Par contre passez par Amaz  n UK car à 8£ même avec les frais d'envoi et les taxes cela revient moins cher que les 22 € demandés par les v  leurs d'Amaz n FR

The biographer David Buckley made a case for the prosecution: Playing live with Iggy Pop for the first time in 20 years. Playing live with Robert Fripp and Brian Eno for the first time ever. Bringing on Nile Rodgers for Let s Dance. The only person who d been invited that night who actually hailed from Bowie s past, who had been Bowie s influence, was Lou Reed. At the end of the show, Bowie made a concession: he came out alone with his 12-string acoustic guitar and sang Space Oddity . I don t know where I m going from here, he said. But I promise I won t bore you. Then he was off for another year of tours and TV spots. He d dodged the snare, at least this time.

By Popular Demand prévu le 10 janvier 2020 (2 CD ; Shockwaves SHOCK14CD)
Plus intéressant est le retour du label Shockwaves avec ce show bien connu du 5 août 1990 à Milton Keynes. A priori il s'agit de la diffusion par une radio américaine alors que c'est la version de la BBC qui est la plus connue. Bizarrement le titre Ziggy Stardust est absent. Espérons qu'il s'agisse seulement d'une erreur dans la setlist promotionnelle...
| Citation: | On a scorching summer s day in August 1990, 60,000 music fans travelled through the suffocating heat to attend David Bowie s homecoming concert at Milton Keynes Bowl. As expected, all the hits were performed in an event broadcast on Radio 1, televised on ITV and simulcast on the Westwood One network across America. The show opened what would be a final lap of Europe for the Sound + Vision Tour, before Bowie took his show to South America for the tour finale. Although there were two dates at Milton Keynes, August the 4th and 5th, the 5th was billed as a farewell concert , the final time that Bowie would perform his hits of the past three decades to his native audience. A greatest hits tour, Sound + Vision had kicked off in Canada as a means to provide David Bowie with what he hoped would be new impetus. His two most recent studio albums, Tonight and Never Let Me Down, had both been critically panned and, although he had formed a new band, Tin Machine , to help rediscover his muse, the heavy legacy of his previous golden period still weighed on his career. The release of the Sound + Vision retrospective box-set in September 1989 offered Bowie an opportunity to step into a new decade unencumbered by the past, and he parked Tin Machine in order to embark on tour in which his back catalogue would be officially retired . Perhaps in order to placate fans bereft at the thought of never hearing their favourite songs live again, Bowie announced that he would involve them in the send off: the set-lists for each show would be determined by votes logged on calls to the number 1-900-2-BOWIE-90, with proceeds from the calls donated to charity. Three North American legs, with a lengthy European circuit and a landmark show in Asia at the Tokyo Dome, met with rapturous reviews between March and July 1990 and set-up the return to the UK in August. Although many in the crowd were subsequently treated for sunburn, heatstroke and exhaustion, it was perhaps a small price to pay for being in attendance as the first half of Bowie s extraordinary career went into supernova.

The Archives prévu le 24 janvier 2020 ou le 14 février 2020 (Box 4 CD ; Broadcast Archive / SPD)
Le contenu n'est pas encore connu mais ce serait une nouvelle compilation de FM Radio Broadcasts avec notamment le Tokyo 1978 et le Montreal 1983. Rien de nouveau donc a priori. Le prix proposé actuellement par Amaz n (30 €) est du vol caractérisé. Si vous souhaitez vraiment l'acheter, attendez que le prix tombe sous les 20 € 
Attention, cette box pourrait bien être un simple repackaging de CD déjà sortis comme ce label nous avait déjà fait le coup avec The Little Box Of David Bowie, Bowie Vs Iggy : The Broadcast Archives et Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie : The Complete Broadcasts 
Mise à jour du 2 février 2020 : le tracklisting ci-dessous semble confirmer mes craintes d'un simple repackaging de Isolar II Tour 1978, Montreal 1983 : The Canadian Broadcast et Jukebox
Mise à jour du 23 mars 2024 : attention il semblerait qu'il existe plusieurs versions de ces repackagings qui semble être composés en fonction des stocks d'invendus sans même se préoccuper du respect de la mention "4 CD SET" ou des tracklists figurant au dos de l'emballage cartonné. Certains assemblages contiennent même des CD déjà ouverts ! Le repackaging avec Like Some Cat From Japan, Under The Covers et Dutch Courage est confirmé.

Nine Inch Nails : The Broadcast Archives sorti le 10 décembre 2019 (Box 3 CD ; Broadcast Archive)
En cherchant des infos sur ce label, je suis tombé sur cette box (en fait un simple repackaging) que j'avais ratée car elle n'est attribuée qu'à Nine Inch Nails alors qu'elle contient en fait le CD "Under Pressure" déjà sorti ici et là, ce qui semble confirmer mes doutes sur le coffret du post précédent... Les deux premiers CD sont des shows de NIN sans David Bowie...

Protus, en compétition avec Laser Media pour le titre du label semi-officiel le plus pourri, nous revient avec une compilation vinyle sans aucun intérêt depuis la sortie du magnifissime Cracked Actor (et de son propre double vinyle sorti l'an dernier).

On n'arrête plus le label Parachute qui est en train de s'imposer comme le meilleur label semi-officiel de vinyles avec cette version du CD sorti l'an dernier.

Area 2 Festival : Toronto Broadcast 2002 prévu le 1er au Royaume-Uni et le 7 mai 2020 en France (1 CD ; Sonic Boom) => ressortie le 26 novembre 2021
Voici un nouveau show intéressant qui a été malheureusement (comme souvent) diffusé de façon incomplète à la radio (titres 1 à 11). Les titres bonus (12 à 16) seraient issus de sessions radios et TV. Le label Sonic Boom est de retour après le Back In Anger qui a eu l'honneur d'inaugurer ce sujet. Il faut noter en outre que le show de Toronto est déjà sorti en 2016 avec Angels Have Gone et en 2018 avec Toronto 2002. D'ailleurs il est probable que ce CD soit la copie directe de la release wardourienne, ce qui serait une excellente nouvelle
| Citation: | FESTIVAL SHOW FROM BOWIE IN 2002 A creation of electronics whizz-kid Moby, inspired as he was by the Lollapalooza tours, the Area Festival kicked off - as Area One - in 2001. Area Two followed in 2002 since when it has been on hiatus. Featuring Moby himself, Busta Rhymes, The Avalanches, Carl Cox and David Bowie, the sophomore festival ran between July 28th and August 14th 2002, in cities across the US and Canada. When the tour reached Toronto, on August 5th, sadly Busta Rhymes was unable to perform due to problems crossing the border, but the highlight of the day was undoubtedly David Bowie, who most attendees had come to see, and whose set of tunes both old and new was extraordinary. With the whole affair recorded for Live FM Broadcast, the superb performance Bowie gave that mid-summer evening almost 20 years ago lives on. Previously unreleased however, this new CD changes all that and brings this marvellous concert to fans of the great man for the first time. Augmented too by bonus cuts from Radio and TV sessions from the same year this new release is certain to prove a true delight for Bowie enthusiasts across the world.
