Best Of Dallas '78 Isolar II World Tour prévu le 3 juillet 2020 (1 LP picture disc ; Protus PRPD 3008 / Soulfood)
Comme c'est désormais habituel, après avoir sorti la version CD et la version 2 LP, Protus sort promet un picture disc du show de Dallas 1978 mais ce sera certainement à nouveau un fake. Espérons que sur le Best Of Tokyo 1978 qui devrait prochainement suivre on aura droit au vrai show de Dallas

At The National Bowl : UK Broadcast 1990 prévu le 4 septembre 2020 (1 CD ; Unicorn)
Et voila un nouveau label semi-officiel de rigolos qui nous annonce un show "previously unreleased" avec un "full set" disponible "for this first time". Il aurait dû regarder la page précédente de ce sujet pour constater que ce show du 5 août 1990 à Milton Keynes est loin d'être inédit et que leur version sur 1 CD n'est pas du tout complète. Au moins il y a le titre "Ziggy Stardust" absent de la release précédente. Mais quelle époque où l'on ne peut même plus faire confiance au premier bootlegger venu

He shelved his solo career in 1989, retreating to the relative anonymity of band membership for the first time since the early 1970s. A hard-rocking quartet, Tin Machine came into being after Bowie began to work experimentally with guitarist Reeves Gabrels. The line-up was completed by Tony and Hunt Sales, whom Bowie had known since the late 1970s. Their first album Tin Machine (1989), was initially popular, although its politicised lyrics did not find universal approval. Work on a second album began, but Bowie put the venture on hold and made a return to solo work. Performing his early hits during the seven-month Sound+Vision Tour, he found commercial success and acclaim once again. On Sunday 5th August 1990, Bowie performed at the UK s 65,000 capacity Milton Keynes Bowl, where he put on a quite extraordinary show of favourites, interjected with just one rarity, his own take on the song Pretty Pink Rose which he d composed for ex-King Crimson man Adrian Belew. Previously unreleased, the full set Bowie performed on this glorious and delightful Sunday afternoon, 30 years ago, is now available for this first time on this superb CD.

Bowie’s thrust back into the alternative limelight had been marked in 1994 with Nirvana’s respectful homage via MTV and adapting Man Who Sold The World. Bowie was promoting his latest album Outside while returning to a territory that recalled his cherished ‘Berlin’ period for the Dissonance tour in 1995. Back with Brian Eno and riding high with The Hearts Filthy Lesson, his 1995 collaboration with new industrial gods NIN was both brave and rewarding, but as these shows and countless others testify, Bowie will survive with or without the next big thing.
Protus proudly presents a prized pairing of two pristine FM radio broadcasts from Bowie’s USA tour in support of his 19th studio album Outside. Professionally remastered original Nationwide/KLLT-FM radio broadcasts with background liners and rare photos.
