LTA étant sorti hier, le moment est venu de deviner le contenu du 5ème coffret après Five Years, Where Can I Be Now?, A New Career In A New Town et donc Loving The Alien.

  • Tin Machine (1 CD)
  • Live In Concert (2 CD) (Tokyo 1990, version audio du DVD)
  • Tin Machine II (1 CD)
  • Tin Machine Live: Oy Vey, Baby (1 CD)
  • Black Tie White Noise (1 CD)
  • Black Tie White Noise bonus (1 CD)
  • The Buddha Of Suburbia (1 CD)
  • Re:Call 5 (2 CD) (avec notamment Fame 90, Pretty Pink Rose, Real Cool World)

yenyen 2017 a écrit:
1989 --> 1995 [2019]

Tin Machine
Live In Tokyo 1990
Buddah Of Subburbia
Black Tie White Noise
Outside
Re-Call 5

yenyen 2018 a écrit:
1989 - 1993

Tin Machine
Sound & Vision Live 1990
Tin Machine II
Tin Machine Live Oy Vey Baby
Black Tie White Noise
Buddha Of Subburbia
Re-Call 5 (feat Pretty Pink Rose & Real Cool World)

Tin Machine
Tin Macine (2019 Reeves Gabrels NEW MIX)
Sound & Vision Live 1990
Black Tie White Noise
Buddha Of Subburbia
Black Tie White Noise (2019 Nile Rodgers NEW MIX)
Re-Call 5 (feat Pretty Pink Rose & Real Cool World)

Citation:
David Bowie – The Last Thing You Should Do [1992–1998]

Black Tie White Noise
The Buddha of Suburbia
1. Outside
2. Contamination (The Leon Sessions)
Ouvrez le chien (Live Dallas 95)
Earthling
Earthling Tour album (Live 97)
Liveandwell.com (2020 Remaster)
Lucy Can Dance (Remixes compilation)
Re:Call 5

Notes
I think the title is pretty bold for an experimentation period, but it would likely be replaced by something far more boring like Hallo Spaceboy.
Period starts in 1992 with Real Cool World and ends in 1998 with either A Foggy Day (in London Town) or one of the acoustic live performances of Dead Man Walking (recorded 97, released 9Cool. Of course this could change if they eventually include Fame ’90, Sound + Vision Tour, or even the first Tin Machine, but not on my watch.
The Leon Sessions is pretty unlikely TBH. A box-exclusive 2020 mix of a random album could be included instead for bait reasons. I’m ruling out the possibility of including Is It Any Wonder? or ChangesNowBowie as they will have already been released physically, but they can go ‘Mercury’ Demos mode all over again.
I’ve replaced the boring Dance 2 title with something a bit more imaginative. Should TM have been included, I would’ve gone for Baby Can Dance. Of course, next year’s would be Dance, Dance, Dance Through the Fire.
10/11 CDs depending on the length of the Earthling Tour release. I’m not really interested in vinyl so you do the math.

Re:Call 5
Real Cool World
Lucy Can't Dance
Jump They Say (Radio Edit)
Black Tie White Noise (Radio Edit)
Buddha of Suburbia (Single Version)
The Hearts Filthy Lesson (Radio Edit)
Get Real
I Am with Name
Nothing to Be Desired
Strangers When We Meet (Edit)
Hallo Spaceboy (Pet Shop Boys Remix)
I'm Afraid of Americans (Showgirls OST Version)
A Small Plot of Land (Basquiat OST Version)
Little Wonder (Edit)
Dead Man Walking (Edit)
Seven Years in Tibet (Edit)
I'm Afraid of Americans (V1 Edit)
I Can't Read (Long Version)
A Foggy Day (in London Town)
Total Running Time: 1:20:00

I have not included Indonesian Don't Let Me Down & Down nor Mandarin Seven Years in Tibet in the same way Japanese Girls was excluded from Re:Call 4. Of course, they could be included in 2021 special Indonesian and Chinese standalone releases of the corresponding albums because that’s what you get when decisions are taken by a monkey.
Running time is pretty tight for CD duration, so maybe they go for the short version of I Can't Read, or even not include it at all due to similarity to the so called ’97 version.
I might be missing some obscure promo edit or maybe something even more obvious, feel free to contribute.

Lucy Can Dance
Real Cool World (12" Club Mix)
You've Been Around (Dangers Remix)
Jump They Say (Club Hart Remix)
Black Tie White Noise (3rd Floor US Radio Mix)
Miracle Goodnight (12" 2 Chord Philly Mix)
Nite Flights (Moodswings Back to Basics Remix Radio Edit)
Pallas Athena (Don't Stop Praying Remix No. 2)
The Hearts Filthy Lesson (Trent Reznor Alt. Mix)
Hallo Spaceboy (Double Click Mix)
Little Wonder (Danny Saber Dance Mix)
Dead Man Walking (Moby Mix 1)
Telling Lies (Adam F Mix)
I'm Afraid of Americans (V5)
Total Running Time: 1:12:56

Totally personal selection, final track list will surely vary depending on the curator. They could also bait by including some unavailable 12" promo mix.

"“Looking at the future solid as a rock because of you...”

On the day that we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Station To Station box set, we thought it would be a good time to bring you up to speed with the plans for the Era 5 set.

It seems that every time we make a post on the official channels regarding new releases, a great number of you use the opportunity to comment on the lack of news regarding the Era 5 set. That's to be expected and your frustration is understandable.

But first, here's a reminder of the first four era box releases:

Era 1 = Five Years (1969–1973) - Released 2015 = 42 years

Era 2 = Who Can I Be Now? (1974–1976) - Released 2016 = 40 years

Era 3 = A New Career in a New Town (1977–1982) - Released 2017 = 35 years

Era 4 = Loving the Alien (1983–1988) - Released 2018 = 30 years

As you can see, the amount of time between the last year covered by each era box and its release date is decreasing exponentially, if that makes sense.

So with the Era 5 box which was originally going to cover the years 1993 to 1999, the plan was to release last year. Though that meant it was only a 20 year gap between 'hours...' and the release of the Era 5 box, it was considered a set that many fans were clamouring for due to the titles that hadn't been released on vinyl originally or were hard to find.

However, we then decided to increase the span of the box up to 2001, so to keep at least a 20 year gap between the last year covered and release date, it means the box won't now be released till next year.

Also, due to the effect of COVID, not only on everyday life, but its impact on plans within the music industry as a whole too, this has been an evolving situation and we thank you for your patience.

Of course, that doesn't mean you won't be getting anything new until next year. You may have noticed that various other releases have peppered the months in-between the era boxes, including live albums and the Conversation Piece set last year, along with other releases.

Indeed, stay tuned for the announcement of another exciting project before the end of next week.

May we also take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and for the enthusiasm shown for the era boxes.
