Il s'agit du concert donné le 20 octobre 2001 au Madison Square Garden à New York rendu en hommage aux victimes de l'attentat du 11 septembre 2001.
Ce concert a été organisé par Paul McCartney au bénéfice de la fondation Robin Hood.

David Bowie, plus américain que jamais, commence le concert avec deux titres. Il est sur scène avec Mark Plati à la guitare et Gail Ann Dorsey à la basse.

Les titres interprétés par David Bowie ont été mixés par Bob Clearmoutain aux studios Sony à New York.
